About the property

"Mol Ban" has a truly magical setting, set in superb isolation, surrounded by the ruins of ancient black houses and in magnificent mature gardens. It faces south, looking out between Eilean Scalpaigh and the uninhabited island of Scotasay, and beyond to the Trotternish Ridge on the Isle of Skye. It takes its name from the pebble beach above which it sits, seals and otters are frequent visitors and the only sounds to waken you are from oystercatchers, herons and other sea birds.

The house is spacious, with three large bedrooms, two public rooms, a modern fully fitted kitchen and two bathrooms. Oodles of hot water, there is both a slipper bath, whirlpool bath and monsoon shower. Enjoy relaxing in front of a log fire or on the patio with the BBQ. There is also wi-fi internet, Sky TV, and DVD player. Loads of books to read and even a baby grand piano..... how did that get here?

Please note, there is a flight of eighteen steps to descend to access "Mol Ban", so this is not a suitable house for anyone unable to cope with stairs! Also, although the garden is fenced and the beach accessed via a lockable gate, please take particular care of young children.

"Mol Ban" is reached via its own tarred access, off the Tarbert to Scalpay road. It is a fifteen minute walk to Tarbert and its ferry terminal, hotels and shops
